5. What other offerings do you have?
Food Market Manila is a Resto-Food Hall and as such we have other options, such as a Hawkers menu, French Waffles, Bread and Pastries etc.
However, since we have recently re-opened under challenging circumstances, where safe resources are difficult to source & dining in isn’t allowed in most establishments, we decided to focus our energy on how we can be of best service – and that is, bringing one of the best of what we have to offer to our customers’ homes.
6. Why the Packaging?
We wanted an eco-friendly material. With the pandemic, most establishments are using disposable items. And because we believe that everything we do and use would have an impact, we invested on eco-friendly biodegradable packaging to lessen our carbon-footprint.
Our containers are made out of sugarcane bagasse so it’s 100% compostable & biodegradable. It’s 100% plastic free and made with food grade materials. Being biodegradable, it breaks down in approximately 90 days under the right conditions (such as exposure to moisture and decomposing microorganisms).
Our containers are also water, heat & grease resistant and are both microwave and freezer safe. You can also put it in the oven for up to 10 minutes in 100oC temperature. So there’s convenience there for our customers without having the guilt of adding to plastic trash.
7. Why the need for advance placement of orders?
With the pandemic, our operations and resources are limited. So we wanted to make sure that we are maximizing the resources available to us. That said, we don’t want to compromise on the quality of the food we serve. So placing your orders in advance allows us to be more efficient & thorough.
8. What other ways can you ensure that your food is safe?
There is currently no evidence of COVID-19 being transmitted via food to date. However, since the virus may survive a few hours on surfaces that people touch and we cannot guarantee how delivery services will handle the packages, we encourage our customers to clean and disinfect or re-heat and wash their hands.
On our end, to guarantee the freshness of our dishes, we cook as you order and we us the IRINOX MultiFresh system technology to blast chill the food. This technology preserves the quality and safety of your food without using any additives of preservatives.
